Ingredients
1 pound fresh green beans, cut in 1-inch pieces
1 tbsp. corn oil
1 large yellow onion, halved lengthwise and thinly sliced
1/8 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 tbsp. fresh parsley, minced.

Preparation

  1. Steam or cook green beans in boiling water for 10 to 12 minutes, or until barely tender. Drain well.
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet. Sauté onion until golden.
  3. Stir in green beans and pepper. Heat through.
  4. Toss with parsley before serving.
