This is a good news for those womens who likes to drink coffee. According to a study by the researchers those women who drink more than one cup of a coffee in a day has low risk of stroke.
Womens who drink low or no coffee is linked with an increased risk of stroke.
According to research conducted by researchers at Karolinska Institute in Stockholm, Sweden, on 35,000 women, age between 49 to 83, found that high intake of coffee lowered risk of stroke in women by 22 to 25% compared to women who had less or no coffee.
Some women have avoided consuming coffee because they have thought it is unhealthy,” said Susanna Larsson, study lead author and a researcher in the Division of Nutritional Epidemiology, National Institute of Environmental Medicine, Karolinska Institute.
“I think it’s premature for anyone to change their coffee consumption habits based on the results of this one particular study. The findings are interesting, but I think far from conclusive,” Ahmed El Sohemy, an Associate Professor of Nutrigenomics in the Department of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto says.
