Eczema, its causes and prevention

Eczema effected skin becomes inflamed, reddish in colour and irritated most of the time.Eczema is also known as dermatitis.Eczema thickens the skin,make it rough and scaly.If not treated at proper time,the condition may become worse resulting in an intense itching and discharge of a colourless fluid.Severe itching sometimes also causes loss of blood from the skin.Eczema caused by parasites or fungi is known as Auto-eczematization.

There are many causes of eczema.It could be hereditary,for those who have a family background of hay fever or asthma have the chances of developing the ailment.Apart from this different climatic conditions, chemicals, or solvents could  make the condition even worse.

If a person is allergic to some kind of food, then that could also result in eczematous problem.Cold and respiratory infections also trigger the problem of eczema.And certain stress situations make the problem even worse.Pets, pollen, dust and various pollutants that move freely in atmosphere also causes eczema.

A good treatment is always needed to cure the ailment.There is no defined cure for eczema but a proper care reduce the extremity of the problem.Itching is what that irritates to a person suffering from eczema.Medicine are given to keep the skin hydrated and to reduce the inflammation.The treatment depend on the type of eczema and other aspects such as age and health status of the person are taken into consideration.

Prevention of Eczema:

Prevention is very necessary to get fast relief from the problem.A proper care is always needed to protect the skin from further infection and to reduce the irritation.

Try to keep the skin hydrated and prevent it from drying away.It avoids the itching problem.Strictly stop using the chemicals that irritates the skin such as perfumes, wool, turpentine,cosmetics etc.

Maintain a proper hand care and body hygiene to prevent the skin from getting further infection,thus worsening the situation and difficult to manage.Avoid the intake of spicy food.Look out to the fabrics you wear, avoid wearing tight clothes and shoes during summers and wear natural fabrics made of cotton.

Avoid stress and sweating.Do not use harsh soaps like detergents and solvents, use soaps soft in nature to clean hands and the effected areas.
