Tonsils are present at the backside of the throat. They are the two small lumps that exist on both the side of the throat. They appear not because of any disease whereas they help to protect your throat from various infectious diseases.

Do not forget to take steam your neck and throat daily for 25-20 minutes this will definitely provide you with relaxation. Avoid eating chilies, salt, pepper, meat, pickles, and hot soup or too cold things. Try consuming liquid things which are neither too hot nor too cold and medium in taste.

Get in a habit of doing gargle of salt water this will relieve you from the pain. Avoid smoking because this will irritate your throat.
