Craking knuckles do not cause arthritis

A recent study has break the old  myth that cracking knuckles causes arthritis,  a condition that affects 10 million people in UK today.

Yusuf Yazici a new York based rheumatologist said that this perception among people developed when older people with osteoarthritis saw their kids cracking  their knuckles.So they used to think that the cracking and the  grinding noise in their fingers and knees would develop the disorder in their children also.

World arthritis day tries to make awareness about the facts and fiction that surrounds the disease.In UK approximately 12000 people are suffering from the disorder are children, and 27000 are people under the age of 25.

Arthritis can be understood as an inflammation of a joint.It consists of 200 different kinds of conditions.Rheumatoid arthritis is a chronic autoimmune disorder that effects internal organs of the body.The other common type of arthritis is osteoarthritis which is said to be a degenerative form of arthritis which often affects older woman.

Daily exercise can be helpful to the people suffering from arthritis.Exercises like stretching exercises, muscle strengthening two or three times a week, and aerobic can greatly help sufferers.
