Measles :Symptoms,prevention and cure

Measles is a serious contagious viral  disease that can even kill you.measles is also known as rubeola or morbilli, is generally an infection in the respiratory system.People could feel fever(more than 101 F,rashes more than 3 days,runny nose,cough conjunctivitis, or inflammation of the brain(encephalitis).

Causes of Measles:

Measles as said earlier is caused by virus.It is a contagious disease that spreads whenever the infected person coughs,sneezes or shares food.The measles virus travel through the air,which means that you could be effected if you go near to the person even he/she is not coughing or sneezing.

The virus could be spread even before when the person himself does not know that he/she is experiencing the disease.

Symptoms of Measles:

1)High fever(bad cold).

2)Running nose

3)Sore throat.

4)Sneezing

5)Or hacking cough.

The one who suffers from Measles may feel a lymph node in the neck that swells by the time.The person also have Diarrhea and sore and red eyes.By the time theses symptoms starts to go away the person will get red spots inside his/her mouth along with rashes spread all over the body.

Treatment of Measles:

Most of the people prefer home treatments and take medicine to reduce fever.People also do take lots of rest and drink lots of fluid and mostly they get better within 2 days.

Prevention against Measles:

Prevention could be taken by taking appropriate measles vaccine.The vaccine is given during childhood along with mumps and rubella vaccine-MMR, or with mumps,rubella and chickenpox vaccines:MMRV.

Many people avoid to giving their children the MMR vaccine as they think that it could develop autism in their children,but according to researchers no connection till have been found between MMR vaccine and autism.
