Soy protein helps improving cholestrol
A new research has found that soy protein are much better than milk proteins in improving the HDL cholesterol to a large extent.
Many researches has shown that soy protein decreases the LDL cholesterol and improves the HDL cholesterol which aids in overall lipid profile.
Dr. Elaine Krul, a nutritionist said that Coronary Heart Disease is very common and a crucial health epidemic in men and women all over the world.The research showed that if blood lipids are reduced then the risk of coronary heart disease and strokes also reduces remarkably.
Soy protein has a significant role in reducing total cholesterol as compared to carbohydrates.Soy protein supplements are a lot better than milk protein, which helps in increasing the HDL and reducing total/HDL cholesterol ratio.
The study is published in European Journal of Clinical Nutrition.
