  • Eat proper and  well balanced diet

Increase the intake of fresh vegetables and fruits in your diet.Cut down on salt as much as you can.Eat low fat dairy products.It helps you to keep your blood pressure at an appropriate level and you maintain a healthy body weight.Eat food which reduces the acid in your body.Include foods which are rich in fiber,vitamin K and vitamin C.Such as eggs and cabbage.

  • Drink plenty of water

Drink plenty of water in a day.It keeps your body hydrated, maintains a good blood circulation in the body and enables your brain to process hormones in a right manner.Water eliminates the harmful toxins from the body and keeps you healthy mentally as well as physically.

  • Alkaline diet

There are some foods that leave an acidic effect in your body.It harm the kidneys.Therefore, try to increase the intake of food such as green leafy vegetables,low sodium high-fiber breads and dark colored fruits which helps maintains a good pH level in your body, by reducing the acidic content.

  • Avoid smoking

Smoking badly effects your heart as well as your kidneys.Smoking tightens the arteries which leads to nephrosclerosis, coronary artery disease and damage the ability of kidney to flush out toxins from the body.Smoking also increases the blood pressure which disrupts the proper functioning of kidneys.

  • Increase intake of magnesium

Sometimes, high blood pressure and magnesium deficiency in the body leads to dis-functioning of kidney.Keep a check on your diet and make sure that your diet includes seeds, dark green vegetables, whole grains and nuts.

Limit the use of alcohol,dark cola drinks and beer.They may harm your kidneys very badly.Keep a check on your calories and cholesterol level.And  maintain a healthy body weight.
