A new research has found that meditation tends to switch off the area of the brain responsible for psychiatric disorders.Meditation calms your mind and improves the functioning of the brain.Meditation turn off the ares connected to¬† ADHD and Alzheimer’s.

Meditation increases the focus power of brain which ultimately results to inner happiness.Meditation popularity is increased enormously and has helped people to overcome from deadly diseases like cancer, quit smoking and prevents psoriasis.

The team from Yale which conducted the study observes the functioning of brain on both the people who meditate and people who do not meditate.They found that meditation reduced the activity in the area of brain which is responsible for hyperactivity, attention deficit, anxiety and even Alzheimer’s disease.

This shows that the people who regularly practice meditation are less prone to diseases such as autism and schizophrenia.It is also proved that a mindfulness of meditation reduces the traumatic stress disorder which causes numbness and hypervigilence.

People who are suffering from depression already uses the Mindfulness based Cognitive Therapy(MBCT) to control the emotions and develops a positive outlook.The study was published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
